Ch. 316Betrayer

Hamlin and Randy betrayed the Soul Hunter Team, revealing that Randy was the Green Dragon Monagas in disguise and that the team had been lured into its scheme. As Monagas began enslaving Swift, Rayne arrived and demanded that it release him.

  • Hamlin attacked Sonya and Palmers while Randy struck Neville and Laurina, leaving Palmers as the only teammate still able to fight.
  • Randy and Hamlin defeated Palmers, and the disguised Green Dragon Monagas appeared after its illusion and corpse vanished.
  • Hamlin addressed Randy as his master, and Monagas revealed its identity and claimed Sonya and Laurina as rewards for Hamlin.
  • Monagas subdued Swift and began casting Mind Charm to enslave him, while Hamlin and the black-robed Wizard kept him bound.
  • Rayne arrived through a Portal with a dwarf, two pets, and four Extreme Warriors, then threatened Monagas unless it released Swift.

Ch. 318Smash the Green Dragon

Rayne broke Monagas’s attempt to control Swift and fought the Green Dragon while the Soul Hunters defended themselves against her minions. He killed Monagas with a Thunderous Smite to the head, leaving the battlefield stunned.

  • Rayne and Bramit attacked Monagas’s plant barrier, while Fentilus refused to help and withdrew through an Any Door.
  • Rayne shattered the barrier and forced Monagas to abandon her control of Swift; Palmers freed Swift and the team as Monagas summoned her minions to attack.
  • Rayne healed Laurina and Sonya while the Soul Hunters fought the Cyclopes, Gnolls, and Harpies and Palmers treated the team against Monagas’s poisonous mist.
  • Rayne redirected Monagas’s Corrosive Burst Ball through an Any Door, injuring her, then struck her with lightning and mounted her head.
  • Rayne bound Monagas with a Stasis Field and killed her with a Thunderous Smite to the forehead.

Ch. 319Bloodstained Glory

Rayne killed the Green Dragon Monagas and helped defeat the remaining enemies at the dragon’s lair. After Swift executed the traitorous Wizard Hamlin, Rayne went to confront the mysterious black-robed Wizard still above Dragon's Nest Hill.

  • Rayne killed Monagas, drew her Demon Soul into a Soul Stone, and the gnolls and harpies fled as the battle turned against them.
  • Rayne arrived at the dragon’s lair and killed the attacking Cyclops, rescuing Bramit and the Soul Hunters.
  • Rayne ordered the Soul Hunters to collect the Cyclops Demon Souls and learned that Swift had chased Hamlin into the forest.
  • Swift returned with Hamlin and executed him after rejecting his excuses for betraying the team and preying on Laurina and Sonya.
  • Rayne absorbed Hamlin’s soul, then used an Any Door to appear above Dragon's Nest Hill, where the mysterious black-robed Wizard remained.

Ch. 320Mysterious Wizard

Rayne removed the Soul Binding Collar that had enslaved Fentilus, who warned him that Deep Azure, King of Green Dragons, might seek revenge for Monagas. Rayne hurried his team out of the Death Forest Sea with Monagas’s corpse as Deep Azure’s threat loomed.

  • Fentilus asked Rayne to remove his Soul Binding Collar and insisted that Rayne had the ability to do it.
  • Rayne studied the collar, then used Living Metal to disable it and melt it into an ingot.
  • Fentilus warned Rayne that the collar belonged to Deep Azure, King of Green Dragons, and departed through a Portal.
  • Rayne told the Soul Hunters to loot Monagas’s lair quickly while he stored the Green Dragon’s corpse in Swift’s Advanced Corpse Bag.
  • Rayne used the Arcane Torrent Staff’s remaining Portal charges to move the group away, then led them on six Fire Dragons toward the outskirts of the Death Forest Sea.

Ch. 321Return to Astartes

Rayne returned to Astartes after rescuing the Soul Hunter Team and then brought materials and Extreme Warriors to the secluded canyon beneath King Kong Peak. He began setting up a Teleportation Array there as the group prepared to establish the King Kong Fortress base.

  • Rayne fed the exhausted Fire Dragons portions of the Green Dragon's meat, strengthening their souls and bloodlines as they rested.
  • Swift decided the Soul Hunter Team would return to Deep Harbor City, sell their spoils, and disband, while Rayne asked Swift to help him buy slaves there later.
  • Rayne left the Soul Hunter Team on a relatively safe trade route and flew with the Fire Dragons back to Astartes, where Sikarius, Otto, and Tyrien welcomed him.
  • Rayne told Bramit he would cooperate on developing a new Soul Gun rather than reveal how to make Rambo's Gun.
  • Rayne transported materials and Extreme Warriors to the canyon beneath King Kong Peak, declared it their new base, and began arranging the Teleportation Array.

Ch. 322Teleportation and Construction

Rayne completed the Teleportation Array connecting King Kong Fortress to his castle, brought sixty Extreme Warriors and supplies to the canyon, and returned to his territory. He agreed to hire dwarven craftsmen to build King Kong Fortress, then a tall, beautiful figure emerged from a Portal on his balcony.

  • Rayne reassembled and activated the Teleportation Array in the canyon, opening a Portal to Clearwater High Fort.
  • Rayne led sixty Extreme Warriors through the Portal and moved the prepared supplies to the canyon before closing it.
  • Rayne welcomed his people and Bramit back at the castle, then discussed his plans for King Kong Fortress with the dwarf.
  • Bramit offered to arrange for dwarf craftsmen from Molten Keep to build the fortress for thirty-five thousand Gold Shields in three months, and Rayne accepted.
  • Rayne sent Bramit back toward the canyon with Tyrien, and a tall, beautiful figure stepped through a Portal onto his balcony.

Ch. 323Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

Rayne reunited with Osiria, explained his journey to the Thane Plateau, and learned that killing dragons could bring powerful relatives seeking vengeance. The two grew closer on the balcony before Ansiwodoss summoned Rayne to the tower, leaving their encounter interrupted.

  • Osiria recognized the Dragon Slayer aura on Rayne and warned him that killing more than three dragons could attract powerful dragons seeking revenge.
  • Rayne told Osiria about his experiences on the Thane Plateau, including meeting the Titan Elder Sorim, and she expressed a wish to meet him.
  • Rayne took Osiria's hand and kissed her, and she accepted his advances until Ansiwodoss called him to the tower.
  • Osiria fled through a portal after Ansiwodoss interrupted them, and Rayne traveled to his teacher's study.
  • Ansiwodoss greeted Rayne with a strange smile as Rayne entered the study.

Ch. 324Hourglass of Time

Rayne discussed Osiria’s dangerous origins with Ansiwodoss and learned that the mysterious Wizard from the Death Forest Sea was Tuzray Slin’s Simulacrum. Ansiwodoss revealed that Tuzray’s domain was the Death Forest Sea and that he possessed the Legendary Element Hourglass of Time.

  • Ansiwodoss warned Rayne that Osiria’s human bloodline could draw dangerous attention, but Rayne insisted he would remain her friend and protect her.
  • Rayne told Ansiwodoss about his plateau experiences and showed him Solim’s Source Crystal Ore, which Ansiwodoss could not identify and suggested he ask Councilor Dalandon about.
  • Ansiwodoss identified the mysterious Wizard Rayne had encountered as Tuzray’s Simulacrum and explained that Tuzray’s Wizard Tower was hidden in the Death Forest Sea, where he had fought Deep Azure for over a century.
  • Ansiwodoss told Rayne to value Tuzray’s favor and identified Tuzray’s ability to remove the Soul Binding Collar as the Legendary Element Hourglass of Time.
  • Rayne learned that the Hourglass of Time could reveal the past, future, and fate of intelligent creatures, then took his leave.

Ch. 325Dragon Knight Rayne

Rayne visited Dalandon to have a Green Dragon’s corpse processed and learned that Heavy Silver was scarce despite its low market value. He then found Osiria at home, and the two began a relationship after she asked how Viola would feel about it.

  • Rayne met Dalandon in his Alchemy Room and asked him to process the Green Dragon’s corpse.
  • Rayne gave the Alchemy Department most of the dragon’s remains, reserving its blood, meat, and half its Dragonhide for his own purposes.
  • Rayne asked Dalandon about Heavy Silver, received three pieces of ore, and learned that the mineral was difficult to find.
  • Rayne searched for Osiria, found her at her residence, and entered after she opened the door.
  • Osiria asked Rayne how he would explain their relationship to Count Winter Thunder, and Rayne said Viola did not object.
  • Rayne and Osiria went to her bedroom and became lovers.

Ch. 326The Joy of Being a Dragon Knight

Rayne and Osiria enjoyed their intimacy and then signed a Soul Contract, joining their fates and allowing them to communicate through their souls. As Rayne examined Osiria’s powerful elements, he began considering which three to choose, while Osiria reacted with disbelief at something she found in his soul.

  • Rayne and Osiria rested together after their encounter, and Osiria assumed he wanted to become her Dragon Knight.
  • Osiria began casting a Soul Contract, and Rayne shut down the Mutated Cellphone interface to keep its functions hidden from her.
  • Osiria swore the covenant before Vejestri and Bahamut, and Rayne accepted, forming a Soul Pact Element in both their souls.
  • Rayne explored Osiria’s soul and saw her Rainbow Law, True Dragon Body, and other powerful elements.
  • Rayne weighed which three of Osiria’s elements to choose, while Osiria stared at him in disbelief.

Ch. 327Three Great Elements

Rayne and Osiria chose three elements each through their Soul Contract, strengthening Osiria’s magic and giving Rayne new dragon abilities. After their transformations, Osiria thanked Rayne, then pushed him down and sat astride him.

  • Osiria examined Rayne’s soul and was astonished by his many high-tier elements, especially Key of the Gate.
  • Osiria chose Will of Truth, Key of the Gate, and Body of Steel, and the elements transformed her.
  • Rayne chose Rainbow Law, True Dragon Body, and Dragon’s Roar, gaining dragon scales and stronger physical abilities.
  • Osiria finished adapting to her new elements and told Rayne that Will of Truth was especially valuable to a spellcaster.
  • Osiria pushed Rayne down and sat astride him.

Ch. 328Secret Lover

Rayne kept his relationship with Osiria secret while spending several days with her, then returned to his duties when her mating season ended. Bramit arrived with Dwarf craftsmen, and construction began on Rayne’s fortress in the canyon.

  • Osiria asked Rayne to keep their relationship secret, and he agreed before spending several days with her in Wezelan High Tower.
  • Osiria ended her mating season and began studying magic, while Rayne returned to his castle to resume managing his territory.
  • Rayne received Bramit and the Dwarf craftsmen through the Teleportation Array, where Bramit noticed the scent of a dragon on him.
  • Rayne met Bulestan, the master mason, and agreed to revise the fortress plans while preserving features needed for future training facilities.
  • Rayne signed a contract and paid an advance, and the Dwarves began quarrying stone and excavating the canyon site.

Ch. 329Forever Loyal

Rayne organized and disciplined the Extreme Warriors while King Kong Fortress neared completion, then traveled to Winter Thunder City to build a Teleportation Array for Viola. After learning that Viola had gone to Northril on Lady of Long Hair’s orders, he returned to the Demon Capital with Sikarius's First Squad.

  • Rayne divided the sixty Extreme Warriors into five squads, appointed captains and mentors, and taught the mentors lessons on organization, discipline, and conduct.
  • The mentors and Rayne taught the Extreme Warriors to read, improve their discipline, and deepen their loyalty to Boss Rayne.
  • Rayne flew to Winter Thunder City, where Abigail told him Viola had gone to Northril to establish factories and sales channels for cameras and Phonographs at Lady of Long Hair’s command.
  • Rayne used Viola’s prepared materials to construct a Teleportation Array and left Abigail a teleportation rune for Viola.
  • Rayne activated the array to return to the Demon Capital, then summoned Sikarius's First Squad and headed for the city’s public Teleportation Array.

Ch. 330Trade City-States of Tuld: Imperial Sky Travel Agency

Rayne traveled from Demon Capital to Deep Harbor City to expand his search for Source Crystal Ore and purchase slaves. After arriving, he explored the bustling city, where someone recognized him, and he left through a Portal with his Extreme Warriors.

  • Rayne failed to get a reliable source of Source Crystal Ore from Akalande, but Akalande agreed to buy Heavy Silver Ore and investigate its mines.
  • Rayne decided to search beyond Demon Capital, arranging a discreet search in Northril and traveling himself to Deep Harbor City.
  • Rayne paid to teleport with Sikarius and five other Extreme Warriors through the Imperial Sky Travel Agency to Deep Harbor City.
  • Rayne saw Deep Harbor City's busy harbor, commercial districts, and diverse population, then explained to Sikarius that its bustle did not mean it surpassed Demon Capital's productivity.
  • Rayne sensed people recognizing him, led the Extreme Warriors into an alley, and opened a Portal with the Arcane Torrent Staff.

Ch. 331Slave Market

Rayne visited Swift in Deep Harbor City and asked him to help purchase three to four hundred ordinary-person slaves for his territory. Swift brought Rayne and the Extreme Warriors to meet a slave trader, where the trader welcomed them.

  • Rayne arrived at Swift’s estate in the Seaside District and was warmly welcomed by Swift.
  • Swift introduced Rayne to his many children, then explained how he hoped to build a family through them.
  • Rayne declined Swift’s offer to summon Laurina and Sonya and asked instead to buy three to four hundred healthy adult slaves.
  • Swift said he knew a relatively conscientious slave trader and gave Rayne the trader’s location.
  • Rayne disguised the Extreme Warriors, opened a Portal, and followed Swift through the guarded slave-market compound.
  • A middle-aged slave trader greeted Swift and asked whether Rayne was the honored guest.

Ch. 332The Miniature of the War Between Gods

Rayne visited Compass Griff’s slave market in Deep Harbor City and bought more than a thousand Kermel captives, planning to send them to Glamorgan and train them as Transcendents. As Rayne prepared to leave, Compass invited him to a forthcoming black-market auction featuring rare items.

  • Compass recognized Rayne as the Count of Glamorgan and offered to show him the slaves, but Rayne insisted on ordinary human captives.
  • Compass explained that the Vina people had brought over a thousand Kermel slaves from the war-torn Mishaw Peninsula, where the Vina Kingdom and Kermel Duchy followed rival gods.
  • Rayne inspected more than three hundred Kermel captives and determined that his unusual method could give them a high chance of becoming Transcendents despite their weak souls.
  • Rayne bought all the Kermel slaves for a little over twenty-four thousand Gold Shields and ordered Compass to ship them safely to Hybridge Port in Glamorgan.
  • As Rayne left, Compass invited him to a black-market auction that would feature Superb Elements and Epic Equipment.

Ch. 333Dragon Vein Sorcerer

Rayne attended to arrangements for a black market trade fair and bought up Deep Harbor City's supply of Heavy Silver Ore, discovering that most of it came from Mount Liz Grey Coal Mine. Learning that the mine's owner, Deacon Sells, might be a Dragon Vein Sorcerer, Rayne planned to use a Green Dragon's Soul to draw him into a deal for the mine.

  • Rayne accepted Compass's offer to get him an invitation to the black market trade fair.
  • Rayne visited nearly a hundred shops in Deep Harbor City and bought more than two thousand pounds of Source Crystal Ore and over ten pounds of refined Source Crystal.
  • Rayne learned that most of the ore came from Mount Liz Grey Coal Mine, owned by Baron Deacon Sells, and considered buying or monopolizing the mine's output.
  • Swift told Rayne that Deacon Sells was rumored to be a powerful Dragon Vein Sorcerer who had graduated from Deep Harbor Supernatural Academy.
  • Rayne told Swift to ask Compass to advertise an anonymous sale of Monagas's Green Dragon Soul at the trade fair.

Ch. 334Shadow Curtain

Rayne traveled with Compass into Skull Harbor, where a Legendary Intermediate Tier Shadowmancer ambushed them under cover of a Shadow Curtain. The Shadowmancer demanded Monagas's Dragon Soul for King of Green Dragons Deep Azure, and Rayne's counterattack began as masked attackers emerged from nearby buildings.

  • Compass told Rayne that the Dragon Soul news had drawn powerful visitors, then confirmed that the slaves Rayne bought had departed for Hybridge Port.
  • Rayne and Compass entered Skull Harbor and witnessed its lawlessness, including Transcendent battles and a sudden murder.
  • A shadow spell and a large Grease Spell overturned Rayne's carriage and left Swift, the guards, and Compass struggling on the street.
  • Rayne recognized the Shadow Curtain and confronted a masked Legendary Intermediate Tier Shadowmancer who demanded Monagas's Dragon Soul on Deep Azure's behalf.
  • Rayne pretended to consider the demand, then hurled his Thunderbolt Hammer at the Shadowmancer as more than a dozen masked attackers charged from the alleys.

Ch. 335Intense Battle with the Shadowmancer

Rayne fought off a coordinated ambush while the hidden Shadowmancer summoned demons and attacked him with powerful Shadow Magic. After resisting the spells and locating the Shadowmancer, Rayne cast Banishment Spell, leaving their confrontation unresolved.

  • Rayne used Rainbow Ray to destroy a Shadow Well and save Compass from being pulled into it.
  • Rayne countered the assassins’ attacks, then used Dragon Might and Rainbow Ray to clear the attackers surrounding Swift and the guards.
  • The Shadowmancer summoned Infernal Horned Demons, which Rayne stunned with Chain Lightning as he searched for their summoner.
  • Rayne resisted most of the Shadowmancer’s spells, and the shocked Shadowmancer revealed his location by speaking.
  • Rayne used Thunder Spell to break part of the Shadow Curtain and cast Banishment Spell at the exposed Shadowmancer.

Ch. 336Projection Spell

Rayne fought a Legendary Intermediate Tier Shadowmancer, whose Projection Spell let him survive the destruction of his apparent body. After the Shadowmancer was driven back and the Abyss rift closed, Rayne discovered that the Black Mask left behind was an Epic Tier magical item.

  • Rayne’s Banishment Spell failed against the Shadowmancer, so he attacked with Rainbow Ray while dodging the enemy’s Disintegration spell and Shadow Plane barrier.
  • Rayne charged through the Shadowmancer’s defenses, resisted his Fear Spell, and struck him with his warhammer despite being sprayed by Black Dragon’s Acid Dragon Breath.
  • Rayne broke the Shadowmancer’s shield and battered his shadowy form with Rainbow Ray and four Call Lightning strikes before an explosive lightning attack made him disappear, leaving a Black Mask.
  • The Abyss rift and Shadow Curtain vanished, and Swift and the Extreme Warrior had slaughtered the summoned Infernal Horned Demons.
  • Rayne realized the Shadowmancer had used Projection Spell to control a substitute, then examined the Black Mask and identified it as an Epic Tier magical mask.
