The group looked at one another, unsure how to react for a moment.
Forget them—even Cheng Tian himself had no idea what had happened. How had his black cup, with the Black Pearl as its core, ended up overlaid with this Grail?
Could it summon an Ace Chalice too?
Should I prepare some Coins and dice first?
Just as the atmosphere became extremely awkward—especially among the Knights of the Round Table Legion from Britain itself—Arthur, who should theoretically have been the most embarrassed, actually took the initiative to step forward and stare Cheng Tian directly in the eyes.
"This Grail chose you. You are qualified to hold it."
Arthur's words directly defined this unexpected incident.
In the original game's completion cutscene, there was actually a bit where the Grail was refused three times. Under Merlin's deliberate guidance, Lancelot and Percival both touched the Grail before Arthur did, but in the end, they both "refused" it. Arthur then naturally and officially accepted this sacred vessel that represented the future King of Britannia.
But perhaps even Merlin himself had not expected Arthur's generosity to surpass everyone's imagination. Even when faced with the prospect of the fruits of victory being stolen outright and the throne of the King of Britannia being handed over to someone else, Arthur not only showed no negative emotions, but sincerely believed that Cheng Tian was truly qualified to hold the Grail.
Arthur's actions also indirectly reminded everyone present of exactly who Cheng Tian was.
He was the only foreign Knight formally recognized by the Knights of the Round Table Legion so far, one with an independent title. At the same time, he was the leader of the powerful Scorching Sun Legion, which had even occupied the central role in this campaign against the Grand Duke.
