Anyone who had read Journey to the West knew that the Great Spirit King of the Tongtian River had seized Old Turtle's underwater palace and claimed the river as his own.

Relying on the fact that he was an invasive species, the Goldfish Spirit had beaten Old Turtle until he fled in panic. Seeing his miserable state, the Great Spirit King had laughed heartily.

So when he was forced to become a turtle hiding in its shell, the humiliation was imaginable.

Yet he still chose to do so, because compared to his life, dignity mattered far too little.

Even knowing that he might not survive this ordeal, the Goldfish Spirit still wanted to struggle one last time.

Unfortunately, Cheng Tian was determined to kill him and had no intention of holding back.

Unlike Tang Sanzang's group, who needed to travel west to worship Buddha and seek scriptures, Cheng Tian had no connection whatsoever with Guanyin Bodhisattva. He had no need to show her any respect. Moreover, from the perspective of template loading, the instant Cheng Tian chose to load Erlang Shen's template, his default faction had already become deeply bound to Erlang Shen, and even the Heavenly Court.

Even today, the subtle relationship between the Heavenly Court and the Buddhist Realm still sparked endless debate. Most of the time, everyone held to their own opinions, and no one could convince anyone else.

But Cheng Tian had no such convoluted thoughts, nor did he understand the struggles between factions.

His understanding of the Goldfish Spirit was very clear: this was a man-eating demon that had already eaten eight pairs of boys and girls and still wanted to eat a ninth pair!
