Son Goku, who had charged out of the mural first, also froze when he saw Maitreya. Yet he did not speak at once. Instead, he suddenly shut his eyes, as though sensing something.

When the boy underwent Talent Advancement, one of the crucial conditions for his advancement had been "indirectly loading the Black Myth: Wukong template onto Son Goku from Journey to the West: The Great Sage's Fury." Once the Talent Advancement was complete, that template had permanently remained on Son Goku.
Just as Cheng Tian, who had loaded the Black Myth Yang Jian template in the previous dungeon, could receive his original body's perceptions, recognition, and even some of its functions in Journey to the West: The Great Sage's Fury, Son Goku, now loaded with the Black Myth:
