Background / History

Li Chen is a transmigrator who possesses knowledge of the original story and a System companion called Tangyuan. He treats Tang San as both a source of System rewards and a long-term threat, while his stated main objective is to unify the continent and raise its technological level. 4 5 18 29

After awakening the Soul Cannon, Li Chen enrolled at Nuoding Soul Master Academy and immediately seized control of the Seventh Dormitory by defeating Wang Sheng in one shot. He later established the dormitory’s rule that newcomers must challenge its boss. 9 10

During his years at Nuoding, Li Chen cultivated steadily, played pranks on his roommates, and began using the System to pursue business opportunities. By the time he departed for Shrek Academy, he had reached Level 28 and possessed two Soul Rings. 16 30

As a child, Li Chen is described as a clean-cut boy in black clothing, taller than Xiao Wu when they first meet at the Seventh Dormitory. 10

At Shrek Academy, he declines the captaincy despite having the highest cultivation among the examinees, then recommends Tang San for the role because a Control System Soul Master is better suited to command a team. Although capable of ruthless action, Li Chen often favors leverage over needless conflict. He negotiates with the Peerless Dragon Snake couple, offers Dugu Bo a cure in exchange for cooperation, and initially assigns Tang San and Yu Xiaogang to labor rather than immediately executing them. 94 138 206
