Madara Uchiha controlled Susanoo and rose to his feet. Mei Terumi's Lava Release, with its stickiness and intense corrosiveness, was utterly ineffective against Susanoo, though Itachi's Amaterasu still stubbornly clung to it.

"Lightning Release's Body Flicker Technique, Lava Release's Kekkei Genkai, and the Mangekyō Sharingan's Amaterasu? Your offensive power is formidable." Madara glanced at his Susanoo and found that the attacks of the three before him could all cause him a bit of trouble.

"I like men who aren't easy to melt, but you're an exception." Mei Terumi frowned slightly. She had not expected her Lava Release to be completely useless.

"He can withstand my speed," the Fourth Raikage said gravely.

Madara controlled Susanoo and slashed down at the three of them. Itachi likewise controlled his own Susanoo, raising the Yata Mirror to block Madara's strike and reflect its force back at him. Caught off guard, Madara was shoved backward by his own power. Lightning flashed across the Fourth Raikage's body as he used the Body Flicker Technique to appear atop Madara's Susanoo. He concentrated Lightning Release Chakra in his leg, then brought it down with earth-shaking force. "Raikage's Axe Kick!"

A thunderous boom rang out, but the Fourth Raikage's kick was all thunder and no rain. It merely cracked Susanoo and failed to injure Madara inside.
