Xiost came before Master Yoda, who was meditating with his eyes closed, and said quietly, "Master Yoda, we have entered the Kuna's Eye System."
Generally speaking, when Jedi Knights appeared among the military, most soldiers addressed them as generals. But Xiost had always called Master Yoda "Master," out of his heartfelt respect.
Master Yoda opened his eyes, his gaze stern. "Danger, from every direction. A very possible outcome, this will be—our defeat."
"Indeed, the situation in the Kuna's Eye System is extremely complicated. Our sensors have already detected the locations of their capital ships, scattered across three areas of the system. But with so many asteroids, we have no way of knowing whether hidden ambushes await in some of those more complex corners," Xiost said. "However..."
He raised a hand and drew across the holographic star map, marking a point. "According to our scans, there is a very obvious signal here. Its long axis measures 2,449 meters. After identification, it is a Cachalot-class vessel."
"Cachalot-class... Hmm. United Mining Group, industrial flagship." Master Yoda nodded. "Here, one of United Mining Group's most important mining systems is—Kuna's Eye."
"That's right. There are not many of these ultra-large industrial flagships even within United Mining Group, and they absolutely never export them. Many mining companies in the Galactic Republic are very interested in these industrial flagships, which can support an entire interstellar mining region by themselves. Some have even offered high prices on the black market." Xiost stroked his beard. "Then, if I'm not mistaken, there should be an interstellar mining site belonging to United Mining Group near this Cachalot-class industrial flagship. And... it should be one of the largest."
Master Yoda did not answer immediately. He reached out, placed his hand over the star map, and closed his eyes to sense it.
