This stretch of space had become a complete mess. Warships and fighters could be seen charging about and firing wildly almost everywhere.
A Blade-class fighter, long since phased out by the Fourth Civilization, was flying madly through space. Yet it had no intention of opening fire, merely using erratic maneuvers to evade point-defense fire and intercepting fighters.
Inside the Blade-class cockpit sat a reprogrammed B-1 battle droid. It manipulated the fighter at a speed unique to robots, continuously saying, "roger roger..."
On an irregular asteroid nearby, a gun barrel extended from deep within and fired several shots at a nearby Hunter Class Battlecruiser. But it was immediately spotted by an ARC-170 fighter, which launched a concussion missile that blew the turret and asteroid alike into fragments.
The ARC-170 fighter then tried to intercept the Blade-class fighter, only to be immediately targeted by two Wraith fighters. The two sides became locked in a dogfight.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, the Blade-class fighter broke free and charged straight toward the Hunter Class Battlecruiser.
Along the way, the shockwave from an exploding space mine completely destroyed the fighter's left wing. The fighter began spinning out of control, yet still maintained its high-speed charge.
The Hunter Class Battlecruiser had clearly noticed this fighter moving differently from the rest. Several point-defense laser cannons turned toward it and opened fire. But the Blade-class fighter was incredibly lucky. At that very moment, a Hiigaran-class battlecruiser fired in that direction. Its immensely powerful Particle Beam Cannon instantly tore through the Hunter Class's shields and exploded on its forward hangar deck!
The Hunter Class immediately erupted in flames. Its Gravity Generator malfunctioned, and the entire warship began to tilt.
