Outer Rim of the galaxy, Cerea Planet.
This was a beautiful, pristine planet. Beautiful jungles and mountains could be seen everywhere, while herds of rare animals ran past in groups. The oxygen-rich air left anyone who breathed it feeling refreshed.
For the previous several centuries, the Cereans had insisted on using no technological products whatsoever, protecting their planet from the damage caused by technology and industry.
At least in that respect, they had succeeded.
But within the broader environment of the Galactic Republic, especially with major corporate giants watching from all sides, how could they possibly remain untouched?
More than a decade ago, Cerea Planet had split over whether technological products should be used, ultimately leading to two civil wars.
In those two civil wars, Dor-Fermi-Bonmi, the Cerean elder who championed the supremacy of technology, had ultimately emerged victorious. With the secret assistance of arms dealer Yuri Orlov and the Fourth Civilization, he defeated Cerea Planet's former Grand Elder and his greatest rival, Elder Leyton. He seized the planetary capital, Tekav City, became Grand Elder, and took control of the entire planet.
After the war, because Dawn Star Planet and Cerea Planet had always been very close to one another, the two sides began cooperating in many fields, mainly to introduce technology and an industrial system to Cerea Planet.
However, their cooperation had always remained superficial. On one hand, although Dor-Fermi-Bonmi advocated the use of technology, if his policies became too radical and truly caused severe environmental damage to the planet, he would not remain Grand Elder for long.
On the other hand, Cerea Planet's natural resources for industry were truly unremarkable. Compared with Tatooine, Cerea Planet merely possessed exceptionally high-quality iron ore. But in this interstellar age, one could simply drag down an asteroid from space and refine it
