Tang Xiao remained where he was. He slowly opened the large bundle the boy had stuffed into his hands and found a pile of stones wrapped in rags. No wonder it had been so heavy.
Those two little brats had probably planned it all out. With something that heavy in his hands, plus the shock of being told it was stolen, a normal person would not toss the bundle aside immediately. They would freeze for at least a moment.

She looked around thirteen. Petite, but already fairly developed, she had naturally dark brown short hair, full rosy lips, and large lake-blue eyes that seemed to shimmer with moisture. Her oval face was filthy, but a closer look still revealed the makings of a little beauty.
The boy beside her was panting even harder, having slid down to sit on the ground. He could barely get his tongue to work. "Finally... finally pulled it off... That person... I feel like... no, no."
