Let's talk about Mina Bonteri. I actually liked her quite a bit, because in my view, her storyline was a relatively mature attempt within the children's animated series The Clone Wars. But Disney ultimately hit the brakes.

Anyone who watched the show knew that, in the original plot, Mina had been assassinated by Count Dooku for advocating peace, and even her death had only been glossed over. You could clearly see the patchwork and compromises in the writing here.

Why? Because Mina had died for justice in the animated series. But that justice was not her own—it was justice imposed on her by the writers. That justice was the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order.

A children's story had to have good guys and bad guys. So the entire plot emphasized how right Anakin and the others were, how right the Galactic Republic was, portraying Mina as someone who had abandoned darkness and embraced the light.
