Caladanian Thoughts
"Mudil, how is your son's illness?" Sass Tiin asked casually as he walked alongside the patrol, making conversation.
"He still has a fever. The harvest hasn't been good lately, and Homeworld doesn't have any more money to keep buying medicine for him, much less send him to a senator. Umbrella's hospital can cure him quickly, but it isn't cheap..." the young Caladanian patrolman said, waving a hand.
"Your son will definitely recover. May the For—ah, may the ancestors bless him." Sass Tiin nearly let it slip, but quickly covered it up.
"Thanks, brother. Next, I'll be transferring to the army too. That's why General Dilar came back this time. He's planning to raise a force to resist the Galactic Republic's invasion! It's time to defend our Homeworld!" the Caladanian patrolman said. "And once I join the army, Dawn Star Planet will give us an allowance. Then if my son gets sick again, I'll have money to treat him."
Sass Tiin shook his head and asked gravely, "Caladan Planet is far out on the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy. There's no way the Galactic Republic could reach this place, is there?"
"You can't put it that way! Sass!" Hearing their conversation, the patrol captain turned around and shouted, "Dawn Star Planet helped us drive back the invasion of those Harkonnen! And when the Galactic Republic fined us so badly we couldn't even afford food, it was Fourth Group that helped us rebuild our cities, gave us jobs and loans! And Titan Security gave old veterans like us, who only knew how to kill, another chance to make money by killing!"
Sass was a small suggestion Sass Tiin had planted in their minds through telepathy, making them believe they knew him by that name.
"That's right!" another patrolman said.
