"Oh? Passing the buck straight to Coruscant?" Longo, Fleet Commander of the Eighth Army, asked from the side with an empty spice pipe clenched between his teeth.
"Send my precious main fleet from Ord Mantell all the way to the Kalion sector to clash head-on with the Geth, when we know absolutely nothing about the situation? That's their lair!" Fan Ke sneered. "If I actually did that, I wouldn't need to keep my position as governor."
"This was intelligence Master Sass Tiin sent back with his life," Longo said, though there was little grief or reverence on his face.
"But it has no value to us," Fan Ke said. "Perhaps it holds value for Coruscant... In any case, an expedition to the Kalion sector to find and destroy the Geth is not something we need to consider."
Longo nodded and changed the subject. "What about the situation on Makito? Does my fleet need to deploy?"
"The outposts have already detected at least three Geth fleets heading for Makito from other directions. The battle there may become extremely intense," Fan Ke said.
