Rendili system, Galactic Republic Task Force, flagship—Arlionne Knight-class Star Destroyer.
Its 1,600-meter hull formed a sharp wedge, rising and thickening toward the rear until its aft section was elevated by three additional layers of hull plating, with a towering bridge perched above. Directly ahead of the bridge stood two rows of main gun emplacements, sixty Taim & Bak XX-9 turbolasers arranged in neat formation. Their cold, stubby twin barrels pointed straight ahead, ready to unleash devastating fire at any moment.
Although the Knight-class Star Destroyer had left the production line half a year ago, it had been undergoing constant testing and adjustments. Several months earlier, vulnerabilities had been discovered in its combat operating system, forcing the ship back into rework so Republic Sienar Systems could redesign its operating system.
Thus, only now, half a year later, did the Knight-class Star Destroyer make its first appearance on the front lines of the war.
This task force now fielded three Knight-class Star Destroyers. As Kuat Drive Yards' newest warship design, deploying them to handle Rendili StarDrive's affairs was an exceedingly ironic turn of events.
