This city of Mandalorian glory had risen and fallen alongside Mandalorian history. When Mandalore the Ultimate led the New Mandalorian Crusaders to rise again, it had once become the economic, political, and transportation hub of the vast territories controlled by the Mandalorians.
But as the Mandalorians gradually declined, Keldabe too slowly lost its former splendor.
During the bombardment of the Mandalorian Excision more than seven hundred years ago, Keldabe had not been directly bombed, but the surrounding facilities were severely damaged and the city's economy suffered a tremendous blow.
After the New Mandalorians built the highly developed new city of Sundari and made it the capital of the New Mandalorian regime, Keldabe was completely marginalized.
Only its immense urban sprawl still displayed the grandeur of Keldabe as an ancient capital of Mandalorian civilization.
However, the sharply diminished Mandalorian population could no longer fill this enormous city. Some areas had essentially become uninhabited zones. White desert sands encroached upon those empty districts, and anyone walking through them could see only countless ruined buildings.
What now supported Keldabe's economy was MandalMotors, a company primarily engaged in producing civilian vehicles. The company had built a landmark headquarters several hundred meters tall in Keldabe and hired poor Mandalorians to work for them at low wages.
After all, the wealthy Mandalorians had long since moved into new cities such as Sundari, protected by black domes and offering exceptionally fine living conditions.

Howling sandstorms lashed the empty buildings around them, whipping up white dust that smacked against the walls with sharp cracks. The old streets could no longer be seen here. There were only tightly packed buildings, some collapsed and some still standing.
There were also vicious predatory beasts lurking in the shadows of the
