Dexen Satellite was one of the four moons orbiting Onderon, and also the largest.

Though called a satellite, Dexen Satellite actually had a diameter of more than 7,000 kilometers. Together with Onderon, it was practically like a pair of twin planets. The two worlds were also extremely close, so much so that from April to May every year by Galactic Standard Time, their atmospheres would be drawn together by their mutual gravity, forming a connected band of clouds between them.

For that reason, Dexen Satellite and Onderon had very similar ecosystems and terrain, both covered by vast stretches of primeval jungle.

Many scientists had also concluded that billions of years ago, Onderon might once have been a giant planet over 24,000 kilometers in diameter. However, it had suffered a catastrophic comet impact, splitting into one planet and four satellites.

Even so, with a diameter of 15,000 kilometers, Onderon was still one of the largest habitable planets in the entire Milky Way Galaxy. That was precisely why the sparsely populated Onderon had never colonized Dexen Satellite. There was simply no need; they had no concerns about living space at all.

3,963 years ago, during the war against the Galactic Republic launched by Mandalore the Ultimate, Dexen Satellite had served as one of the Mandalorian Crusaders' forward bases. It survived the war intact, only to be abandoned afterward.

After the passage of countless years, the Mandalorians' once-enormous base had been swallowed by the jungle. Yet when the InterGalactic Banking Clan and Tyran Heavy Industries chose this place as the industrial base for the Behemoth-class battlecruiser, that massive facility, capable of housing millions of troops, was excavated from the primeval forest once more.

Although the base had been buried beneath the jungle, it had not actually suffered much damage. Its reinforced ground and
