Changing of Dynasties (Part 1)
Judgment showed no expression as she listened to Seth. She simply stood there quietly.
Over the past few days, Seth had come to understand this Separatist Jedi Knight who appeared aloof but was actually somewhat adorably airheaded. He said, "Sometimes, we can't understand the so-called greater good the Jedi Knights keep talking about. Ordinary people like us have neither the ability nor the money. All we can do is survive in this chaotic age. But clearly, the Jedi Knights' 'greater good' can't accomplish even that."
He paused, then continued, "Before this, I once thought this planet was finished, completely beyond saving. Because whether it was the Separatists, the Galactic Republic, or even the Jedi Knights, they were all our enemies. After my father died, my mother quickly remarried... There was no other reason. The man she married was an officer, and she believed he could offer her some protection in an age of war."
"So I went out drinking, singing, picking up girls... I just wanted to have a good time before the end of the world, until I met you..." Seth looked at Judgment and said sincerely, "You were the first person who made me feel that maybe our planet could still be saved, that maybe the Jedi Knights weren't so reckless after all! So... I followed you... I wanted to see what would happen to those Jedi Knights!"
"My mission does not include fighting Jedi Knights," Judgment said flatly.
"I don't care!" Seth shouted. "As long as I can watch you, that's enough..."
Yet faced with this nearly barefaced confession, Judgment merely remained indifferent. "If that's the case, stay with Stila and take care of yourself. I'm leaving."
With that, she walked out on her own.
