He had dealt with Archangel of Death more than once. Archangel of Death had even revived his mother, Shmi Skywalker, displaying extraordinary mastery of the Life Force. Thinking back on their several encounters, Anakin realized that Archangel of Death could have killed him every single time, yet he had not done so.
He immediately thought of another question. "But you just said the Sith follow the Rule of Two. Why did Pregas have another apprentice?"
"Because Archangel of Death was different," Darth Sidious said. "I do not know when Pregas took him as an apprentice, but the first time I met him, I understood why he had caught Pregas's eye, why Pregas was willing to break the Rule of Two to take him as a disciple..."
