Escape from Prison (Part 1)
Zhang Jiarui wrote down a long string of complex formulas. The Kuat Drive Yards engineers standing by immediately snatched them up as if they had found treasure, then began discussing them among themselves. Sometimes, they even came over to ask him technical questions.
These engineers and scientists were extremely polite, even respectful. Perhaps Little Kuat had given them orders, but they did not treat him like a prisoner at all.
Zhang Jiarui could tell that every one of these engineers was among the best in their field. By the classifications people in the Fourth Civilization had often used a few years ago, they were at least Master Class, if not higher.
He deeply understood why the Fourth Civilization had always held a technological edge over the Galactic Republic. It was mainly because they stood on the shoulders of giants. After all, these were the crystallized remnants of technology left behind by the entire Milky Way Galaxy after enduring three great catastrophes!

At that moment, a Kuat engineer entered and told him there might be an error in one part of the formula. Zhang Jiarui went over to look and found that there was indeed an extremely subtle mistake—one he had deliberately written in earlier. He had not expected them to catch it. Smiling, he claimed it had probably been a slip of the pen and thanked the engineer for the correction, then twisted the doubtful engineer right out of the room.
