1522, Enarc Campaign (Final)
General Malcolm Granger began his operation!
The Fourth Civilization guerrilla fleet departed from Ze-Hess, heading straight for Paks Planet—the place where the guerrilla fleet had previously annihilated the 17th Army's interception fleet.
A large number of salvage ships and junk ships were still working at the site of the previous battle. They spared no effort in salvaging wreckage, scanning every fragment in hopes of finding clues that could tell the Republic Intelligence Department what had happened in that battle and what new technology the Separatists had used.
Major General Granger led the guerrilla fleet in a savage pounce! Seeing warships jump in, the junk ships and salvage vessels scattered in panic. But they had forgotten that the guerrilla fleet included Calamity-class battlecruisers!
The Galactic Republic's escort fleet here was not large, consisting of only three Hunter Class Battlecruisers and a dozen or so small and medium warships. Dealing with such an escort fleet was simple. The Hell-Angel Class Battlecruisers charged straight at them, and the escorts did not even have enough firepower to damage them.
In fact, if the Hunter Class Battlecruiser had still possessed a way to contend with Kohl-class Battlecruisers and Hiigaran-class battlecruisers, then after the Calamity-class and Hell-Angel Class battlecruisers appeared one after another, the Hunter Class was undeniably already a generation behind.
The most obvious indication was that the Hunter Class's mere eight twin-mounted XX-9 heavy turbolasers, along with a layout poorly suited for salvos, showed that this type of warship's firepower was far from adequate. Its enormous hangar bays had also become increasingly impotent as the Fourth Civilization developed more and more ways to counter fighters.
After scattering the escort fleet, Major General Granger issued an order to attack those civilian salvage ships, his face cold. In his view, although those
