Among Dawn Territory's state-owned enterprises, the largest was naturally Fourth Group.

When Fourth Group was founded, it existed to manufacture and sell the technological products contained in the mothership database. In the beginning, Fourth Civilization itself had only been a tiny colony, so Fourth Group had taken on all of Fourth Civilization's external commercial activities. At the time, all scientific research had been conducted by the Research Department directly under Tang Xiao's authority.

Now, after more than a decade of development, Fourth Group had long since changed from what it once was. On the surface, it had begun moving in a more commercial direction. In reality, however, Fourth Group remained the most central link in Dawn Territory's commercial system.

Fourth Group now directly managed far fewer industries, with most having been spun off. Fourth Group also had its own product lines, primarily based on the Trader Emergency Coalition's technological data from Sins of a Solar Empire, including products such as the Kohl-class Battlecruiser, Durov-class Battlecruiser, and Sova-class Carrier.

Nor was it limited to industry. Fourth Group's investments in the Northern Territory extended into all sorts of other sectors, including education, healthcare, tourism, and practically everything else.

But those, too, were merely surface-level matters. In truth, the industries controlled by Fourth Group were terrifying in scope!
