Among Dawn Territory's escort warships, the most eye-catching were the Grey Horse-class escort carriers. These carriers were genuinely cheap, practically nothing more than flying hangar platforms, but they were perfectly suited for escort duties because no one would feel bad no matter how many were lost.
The fighters carried by the Grey Horse-class escort carriers were mainly obsolete Wraith fighters, along with many stealth fighters produced by Hiigaran Aerospace Group.
Hiigaran stealth fighters were crescent-shaped light fighters. Their firepower was not strong, consisting mainly of two laser cannons mounted on either side. Dawn Territory's regular military had never selected this fighter, precisely because its firepower was too weak. However, against the patched-together fighters and ships used by pirates, they were more than sufficient.
And with their stealth capability—even the most basic kind—most pirates were left completely helpless when they encountered them.
Then there were the Cobalt-class heavy frigates. These frigates were produced in enormous numbers and were widely used by escort fleets before being withdrawn from frontline naval service.
Together with Revenge-class destroyers, Revelation-class light cruisers, and the Dreadnought-class heavy cruisers that were likewise beginning to be phased out, they formed Dawn Territory's escort fleet. It was not particularly powerful, but it was enough to handle the vast majority of escort missions.
And the greatest feature of this escort fleet was—cheap!
Finally, there was the most powerful, mysterious, and terrifying component of the Dawn Territory Navy—super warships!
The Dawn Territory Navy currently had only two types of super warships in active service: Ragnarov-class Titan warships and Ankollon-class Titan warships.
The only Ragnarov-class Titan warship, Plague, had already been destroyed by the Galactic Republic during the previous war. Even so, before its destruction, under Sefrans Tann's command, that Titan warship had once threatened the Republic's Core Worlds, shaking the entire Republic
