By the sixth day of the Enarc Campaign, and the third day after the Republic 17th Army's supply lines had been cut, Major General Malcolm Granger's raider fleet made a wide detour and struck back at Enarc from behind the Republic fleet. At last, the 17th Army's main fleet could no longer hold on.

Strictly speaking, however, Granger's raider fleet had been the first to falter. Otherwise, he would not have given up harassing them and fled all the way back.

Under Governor Lynch Howser's command, they first halted all transport fleet activity and cleared the hyperspace lanes of traffic. That way, no matter how the raider fleet stirred things up, their mere handful of warships could not create hyperspace disturbances.

As a result, Granger's raider fleet could only disrupt the hyperspace lanes by driving the transport ships and civilian vessels around Kalinda Planet. But no matter how important a transfer hub Kalinda was, the number of ships there was ultimately limited.
