Faida system, outer space.
A flash of white light appeared as a fleet emerged from hyperspace: 10 Hunter Class Battlecruisers, 5 Acclamator-class assault ships, 10 Aquitenes-class light cruisers, and 30 CSS-1 Republic-class transport ships.
"Hawkeye 117, please respond. This is the Republic Ninth Army's 7th Task Force, please respond! Hawkeye 117, please respond!" On the fleet flagship, the communications officer was calling the ship that had previously been sent out to scout.
"Hawkeye 117, please respond!" But there was no answer.
At that moment, the radar operator turned around. "Report! The sensors have detected spacecraft wreckage! Confirmed to be Hawkeye 117!"
Fleet Commander Lieutenant General Henderson walked over and looked at the image displayed by the sensors. Lieutenant General Henderson asked, "Where did those Corpse Puppets come from? Are there any in other directions?"
The adjutant opened a holographic map of the planet, marked Derapha City and Chynesti City, then drew a line southward. "This is the Corpse Puppets' marching route. Our preliminary reconnaissance indicates that they came from the southern mountain range. There should be a Geth base there producing Corpse Puppets.
