"Impossible! That last shot should have hit it!" the tank commander cried in alarm.
There was no time to think. They saw only a terrifying monster rapidly crawling toward them! This creature had completely lost all human form, moving on all fours. Only its twisted, horrifying head vaguely revealed that it had once been one of those mutated giants in leather coats carrying rocket launchers.
Its body was now covered in massive amounts of mutated tissue, which constantly writhed like countless horrifying muscles! With all those additional mutated muscles, the creature's strength and explosive power had reached a terrifying level.
Even more conspicuously, its body was covered in pustules! They were filled with yellowish-green pus, looking utterly disgusting.
One of the pustules had already burst, and revolting fluid continuously flowed out of it.
"Fire!!" the tank commander ordered again.
The heavy laser cannons on both sides of the TX-130 Saber tank opened fire once more! At that instant, perhaps sensing the danger, the monster suddenly leaped sideways. Only one of the two laser beams struck it, hitting a pustule squarely!
The pustule instantly exploded under the laser blast, spraying countless streams of foul-smelling fluid. This liquid clearly had an extremely high boiling point. Rather than being instantly vaporized by the laser's tremendous heat, it instead neutralized the heat.
The scalding, boiling fluid flowed across the ground, releasing clouds of yellowish-green smoke. There was no need to look closely to know it was highly toxic!
"The attack is ineffective! Hurry! Keep firing!" Before the tank commander could finish, there was a boom, and the vehicle shook violently.
