The Dawn Star System's Disaster (Part 1)

"Show your hand!!" Bourne roared, revealing his cards: exactly 22 points. In Sabacc, only exactly 23 points could sweep the table, the equivalent of a clubs straight flush!

However, James Bond smiled and turned over his cards: exactly 23 points! That meant he had drawn a spades straight flush on the very first hand!

"That's impossible!!!" Bourne bellowed.

"Nothing is impossible, Mr. Bourne. A bet is a bet." With one hand, James Bond pulled over the Sabacc pot containing the money and the ship starter.

While everyone's attention was focused on the pot holding the equivalent of a hundred thousand credits, James Bond inconspicuously tossed all the cards he had switched into the deck.

"Bastard... You must have cheated!!" Bourne still could not believe it. "This is only the first round! How could you possibly get exactly 23 points?! Impossible!!!"

But James Bond no longer wanted to pay him any attention. He grabbed all the money from the pot and scattered it toward the surrounding crowd!

"Come on! Everything tonight is on me!! Hahahahaha!!!" James Bond laughed as he threw money around.

Everyone around them went wild. The bar was full of workers who had come for a few drinks and a little gambling. They did not care about anything else and all charged forward frantically to snatch up the money.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, James Bond quietly slipped away from the crowd and ran toward the spaceport.

"Catch him!!" Bourne had never taken his eyes off James Bond. Seeing him try to flee, he immediately shouted, and several of his brothers gave chase.

James Bond had already figured out where Bourne's ship was docked. He moved with a clear objective, running straight toward the depths of the spaceport.
