"Governor, General Sefrans Tann's envoy has arrived," an assistant came before Tang Xiao and said respectfully.
"An envoy?" Tang Xiao paused his work and frowned.
In this age of highly advanced hyperspace communications, dispatching an envoy was exceedingly rare. With hyperspace communications combined with quantum entanglement technology, near-real-time communication could already be achieved across more than half the Milky Way Galaxy. Yet if an envoy were dispatched, then even with mature hyperspace travel technology, the journey from near the Mandalore star sector, where Sefrans Tann was stationed, across the entire galaxy to Dawn Star Planet would be exceptionally winding and perilous.
However, some of the most confidential intelligence still had to be delivered by envoy. For instance, in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Count Dooku had personally gone to Coruscant to deliver the Death Star data and news of the formal outbreak of war to Darth Sidious face-to-face.
