A burst of uneven white light flashed, and a massive fleet of more than two hundred warships emerged from hyperspace before a not particularly large planet.
The positions where these warships exited hyperspace were a complete mess, scattered every which way. Anyone unaware of the situation might have thought they were a bunch of powerless ships drifting aimlessly through space.
The chaotic formation of two hundred ships stretched for thousands of kilometers through space—or rather, there was no formation at all, only a disorganized rabble. In a war, the defenders would only need one assault to completely split and disrupt them, then destroy them piece by piece, ultimately leading to disaster.
But this was the Unknown Regions, and there was no helping it. The hyperspace environment here was far too chaotic; supporting the passage of a fleet of this scale was nearly impossible.
