Alfred Ashford's expression was somewhat unsightly. He grabbed at his meticulously combed golden hair, then seemed to feel that doing so was beneath his elegance and hurriedly smoothed it back into place.
Then he connected a call. A holographic projection appeared, showing a dignified man around fifty years old, wearing a dark blue military greatcoat and with graying hair.
"Sergei Vladimir, can you tell me that the unrest on Chalseden Planet has been dealt with?" Alfred Ashford demanded.
The imposing man named Sergei merely snorted. "The Rebel Alliance is probably involved in this. Our people have come up empty-handed twice already and still haven't captured the target. I told you, if you truly want this resolved, you need to send U.S.S. Only the Ghost Agents assigned to U.S.S can find those elusive Rebel Alliance members."
"Why does it have to be U.S.S?! I didn't spend all that money raising U.B.C.S just to feed pigs!" Alfred's face darkened.
"You should know that many former Jedi Knights joined the Rebel Alliance. U.B.C.S returning empty-handed this time may very well be because the other side has Jedi Knights." Sergei Vladimir spoke coldly.
"Jedi Knights aren't an excuse for you to cover up your failures." Alfred Ashford gritted his teeth.
"But they are an objective factor. Don't forget, we eliminated six Jedi Knights last year. Not once was it due to an error in my judgment." Sergei Vladimir said.
"No! U.S.S absolutely cannot be deployed this time!" Alfred said loudly.
