An invisible spacecraft sailed through the empty outer orbit. Then it disengaged stealth mode and began descending into the planet's atmosphere.

The ship was none other than the Normandy, which had been missing for over a month!

Several parts of the Normandy's hull were scorched and damaged, clearly bearing the marks of fierce battle.

Yet even though the Normandy had brazenly revealed itself, no one on this clearly civilized planet came to investigate, nor did a single fighter jet arrive to monitor it.

Shepard stood beside pilot Jeff Moro, looking out through the enormous viewport at the scenery beyond. Seeing the lifeless city below, she could not help shaking her head with a sigh. "How many planets has this been?"

"If we only count planets that have completely fallen, this is the twelfth. If we include those still holding out, then seventeen," Jeff Moro replied.

"Mon-Gal-Mon-Gal isn't in any hurry to settle things with us," Huang Yehao's voice came from behind them. He wore sportswear and held an energy drink, looking quite relaxed. "It must know that the tens of millions of combat robots on Levik planet, along with the ever-growing number of Geth, are forces it cannot confront head-on."

Huang Yehao had ended up aboard the Normandy through no fault of his own. As the commander of a Marine division aboard the Endless-class Super Carrier Eternity, he should not have been on the Normandy at all. Yet in the end, he had become stranded here.
