Operation Zero had been underway for a year. At present, everything appeared to be progressing smoothly, but it was foreseeable that as the plan continued, the changes within the Duchy of Dawn would grow ever greater, and the resistance we encountered would also increase.
Therefore, at the beginning of the plan's implementation, our primary action was still industrial restructuring. This was also the easiest part to conceal.
Summary of industrial zones: the Duchy of Dawn currently included the Vaxian Core Industrial Zone, Dawn Star Planet Core Industrial Zone, Rendili Planet Industrial Zone, Salust Planet Industrial Zone, Planet Kaal Industrial Zone, and Makito Planet Core Industrial Zone.
Vaxian Core Industrial Zone: this was the Duchy of Dawn's newest industrial zone, though its current scale could not be considered the largest. However, this industrial zone contained three Matter Unloaders, all of them rudimentary white-dwarf-class Matter Unloaders.
Even so, the combined mass of three white dwarfs was equivalent to 1.7 times the mass of a standard Coruscant star, more than enough to provide the resources required for all of the Duchy of Dawn's current industrial plans. Moreover, Matter Unloaders mined at over a thousand times the efficiency of traditional methods, creating a massive backlog of raw materials here.
The greatest current constraint on the Vaxian Core Industrial Zone was ore processing and refining. After the Dyson Ring was completed, the Duchy of Dawn's industrial demand could no longer keep pace with the rate of extraction. Thus, Xu Yan, a director of the United Mining Group, proposed constructing a second Dyson Ring, or even a Dyson Sphere.
I vetoed that proposal. There was no need for it at present. Construction of a second Dyson Ring would affect the progress of our warship production and would not help Operation Zero.
