Expansion of the Togot Swarm (Part 1)

The Togot Swarm was advancing. Countless bugs flooded onto Korb Planet, one of the food nests belonging to the Les Swarm, a tribe of the Kilik Swarm.

So-called food nests were something all the major swarms beneath the Kilik Swarm maintained. They captured creatures from other planets and dumped them on these worlds, allowing them to reproduce on their own before periodically returning to harvest and devour them.

After Abathur discovered this habit of the Kilik Swarm, he expressed extreme disdain for it.

"Primitive farming. No efficiency. Only limits swarm numbers. Kill everything. Eat everything. Fully digest. Convert all into biomass. Evolve. Develop. Reproduce. Continue attacking. That is the Swarm," Abathur said aboard a fleet in orbit around Korb Planet.

This fleet could only be described as terrifying.

Its terror was mainly in its appearance. These ships had already been utterly dilapidated, yet every damaged section had been filled with horrifying biological matter. Like tumors, the biomass was covered in intestine-like passages and piled-up chitin, all of it constantly writhing.

It made the ships look like a pack of horrifying monsters, enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

In reality, they were all nearly scrapped ships recovered from planets such as Crustai, worlds damaged during the previous war against the Grysk Hegemony. Forget raiding anyone—even if these ships approached a planet with the slightest patrol presence, their only fate would be total annihilation.

These ships could not even withstand the impact of directly entering a planet's atmosphere. They could only land by the most primitive method—Orbital Drop.

Do not misunderstand. These were not the mighty, imposing orbital drop pods one might imagine. They were merely containers made of heat-resistant material, packed full of bugs. To put it even more bluntly, such containers were
