But that was already in the past. That pitiful defense fleet had now become space debris, replaced by a terrifying fleet hovering in equatorial orbit! A fleet made up of shabby, battered freighters. What made them terrifying was the vast amounts of revolting biomass covering their hulls.
At that moment, those battered freighters were continuously dropping huge numbers of containers onto the planet's surface.

One kind crawled on all fours. Each of its feet was made up of eight chelicerae, and its back bore a grooved structure resembling a rail. Its entire body was covered in terrifying spikes. Once these insects reached their designated positions, they lay flat on the ground, and the eight chelicerae on each foot immediately plunged deep into the earth, giving them an extremely firm grip.
