The Soul Reaper Sword's Civil War (Part Two)
When the Soul of Vengeance was destroyed by Darth Malthael, it had already been in an unstable state. It had gone out of control not because of how powerful it was, but because the Soul of Vengeance was already an utter mess!
The Soul of Vengeance had originally been a monster created by forcibly stuffing the soul of Darth Venamis, a Sith Lord tortured for over twenty years, into Darth Tenebrus's body, then using Venamis's endless hatred and pain to fuse them through Sith Alchemy.
This monster had never been very stable. Then, during its pursuit of Darth Tenebrus, the two sides inevitably came into contact many times. Darth Tenebrus had tried every possible means to destroy the Soul of Vengeance. Though he had failed, he had thrown the Soul of Vengeance's will into ever greater chaos.
In the end, driven to despair, Darth Tenebrus chose to perish together with it. He deliberately allowed the Soul of Vengeance to kill him, then used the Proto-Body within his original body—the body now used by the Soul of Vengeance—to merge his fragmented soul back into that body.
Thus, Darth Tenebrus's original body came to contain two souls.
Then it was killed by Darth Malthael and absorbed by the Soul Reaper Sword in such a state. One could only imagine what condition the absorbed soul was in!
The utterly chaotic Soul of Vengeance almost immediately lost control after entering the Soul Reaper Sword. Instinctively, it tried to absorb the other souls within the sword. But those souls were no pushovers. Every one of them was the spirit of a Sith Lord, especially Marka Ragnos, who led them!
