The black-clad man's flagship, the Tempest-class battlecruiser Stinger, was turning. Though this warship was as long as 923 meters, it possessed agility wholly disproportionate to its size, maintaining an extremely small turning radius even at high speed.
The Tempest-class battlecruiser had a highly unusual design. Its main body resembled a pistol, with two long heat-dissipation arrays above and below connecting to the thermal-radiation device at the very front, like a gun barrel. The massive main structure at the rear looked like the gun's action. On both the upper and lower sides of the warship were sail-like structures—its redundant optical radar arrays.
This made the vessel's appearance utterly unlike the style of this Milky Way Galaxy. It was even easy to mistake the forward thermal-radiation device for the bridge. Of course, anyone who truly thought so would die horribly.
As the warship turned and took aim, six 1400mm Hypermatter-accelerated projectile cannons mounted on each side of its hull began charging. Astonishing energy gathered within the accelerators, and the injection of Coaxium triggered a hyperspace reaction. A low-grade Mass Effect field gradually formed.
Then, with a slight tremor running through the hull, twelve 1400mm armor-piercing shells left their barrels in an instant, fired at an unimaginably high velocity! To the naked eye, the warship was not firing armor-piercing shells at all, but twelve beams of light!
After a brief charge-up came the second salvo! Then the third!
One hundred and forty kilometers from the Stinger, a Victory I-class Star Destroyer that had been firing wildly in every direction was struck head-on by the Hypermatter-accelerated projectile cannons. Its shields suddenly rippled with unprecedented violence. Then, after a flicker, the shields shattered outright!
The barrage continued. Salvo after salvo came screaming in, and armor-piercing shells slammed into the warship's plating, sending fragments flying everywhere!
