Dunn Vesex's face darkened. "Akingano, fine. Tell me about the Duchy of Dawn's plans in the Unknown Regions."
Akingano chuckled. "The reason the Duchy of Dawn can conduct large-scale military operations in Chaos is precisely because they possess Stargate technology. At present, there is almost certainly a Stargate on Levik planet, and another within Chiss territory, though its location is still unknown."
"I need detailed information," Dunn Vesex said gravely.
"Detailed information isn't easy to obtain, but you came to the right person. In fact, three years ago, the Duchy of Dawn deceived several major families in Chiss territory into helping build the first Stargate. This matter was strictly kept secret among the Chiss leadership. The Duchy of Dawn successfully convinced those major Chiss families that if they refused to help build the Stargate, the Duchy might seek help from other powers, such as the Illumine Kingdom of Kilji. And when that day came, the Duchy of Dawn would become hostile toward Chiss territory." Akingano laughed. "Hehehehe... How foolish. If they had sent their main fleet to fight the Duchy of Dawn to the death back then, the Duchy would never have been able to complete the Stargate."
"So the Stargate was actually built by Chiss territory?" Dunn Vesex asked.
"That's right. The Stargate project was enormous. Even with an Endless-class Super Carrier, the Duchy of Dawn could never have completed it alone. They relied on deception and trickery to gain a foothold in Chaos." Akingano said, "And once the Stargate was completed, those Chiss families realized that the force the Duchy of Dawn could deploy had already far exceeded their imagination. With the Stargate, the Duchy of Dawn had absolute authority within Chiss territory."
"Then why did so few people in Chiss territory know about such a massive project?"
