At 3,820 meters long, with a forward section over 1,400 meters tall but a rear section barely more than 100 meters high, calling this massive warship top-heavy was no exaggeration.
To be honest, Admiral Michel Anser simply could not appreciate the aesthetic of this warship's design. But dislike was one thing; he would never underestimate a vessel of such enormous size.
In interstellar warfare, bigger meant stronger. That was an eternal truth.
This warship was more than five times the size of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, and its energy output was undoubtedly far greater than that ratio.
"Turn! Turn immediately! We can't present our rear to the enemy!!" Michel Anser finally realized that the fleet behind them was the true threat. Even with as many as a thousand capital ships under his command, there was no way he could destroy the fleet in front of him first while threatened by the fleet behind.
Just as the Imperial fleet began turning in utter disarray, those fifteen top-heavy giant warships entered effective range.
On either side of those warships, three cylindrical devices rose up. Then, a flash suddenly flickered from the muzzles atop the cylinders. The light was almost imperceptible and vanished with astonishing speed, even faster than a camera flash.
But soon, the warships struck by those flashes immediately burst into flames!
Two Victory II-class Star Destroyers exploded outright. Their Deflector Shields vanished in an instant, more than half of their main armor belts glowed red-hot, followed by violent internal detonations that erupted outward! They quickly broke apart amid the explosions.
Another seven Imperial-class Star Destroyers also had their shields instantly destroyed, their armor melted away, and fires breaking out across their hulls. Some even suffered secondary explosions. Even Imperial-class Star Destroyers, with their formidable energy output, were directly crippled by
