One of the Imperial officials smiled. "Hehehe... Madam Mon Mothma, we came only to deliver a message to you. Out of respect, we have come in person to convey it—senator Mon Mothma of Chandrila, as your recent financial status review failed to meet the required standards, effective immediately, all income and expenditures of the senatorial residence will be subject to strict restrictions and monitoring."
Bang! Mon Mothma slammed her fist onto the tea table and gritted her teeth. "Are you trying to interfere with Chandrila's fiscal freedom? The Galactic Empire Finance Department has no right whatsoever to question where we spend our money!"
The plump Imperial official gave a smile that did not reach his eyes. "If these were normal expenditures, even if Your Excellency spent a hundred million every month, it would only be considered an outstanding contribution to the Imperial economy. But if the amount spent does not match the value received... then I think we ought to kindly remind you that perhaps you have been scammed."
The thin official stroked his chin. "That antique shop you frequent has therefore been sealed off by us. Perhaps under a strict investigation, we can follow the trail and find the mastermind behind it! It would be wonderful if we could recover the money you were swindled out of."
