"But I have to say, you're right. You really are nothing... because you aren't even a member of the Tagge family." Silas Tagge suddenly changed his tone and sneered.
Felix Tagge's expression darkened, but he said nothing.
Yet Silas Tagge had no intention of letting him off. He continued, "You should understand that Adelaide Tagge chose you back then not because of any talent you had. It was merely because you were handsome. On top of that, she thought you had a good temperament and were obedient, so she chose you. But... you are still an outsider."
He glanced at Felix, pleased to see his expression grow increasingly ugly.
"So in the end, you're just a pretty ornament—a tool Adelaide uses to satisfy her desires and produce heirs. What value do you have to the family? When you grow old and your handsome looks are gone, what will give you the right to remain in the Tagge family? You've worked so hard to keep yourself in shape all this time, isn't that the reason?" Silas sneered as he leaned closer. "But Adelaide is different. She can find someone younger and more handsome at any time..."
"Enough!!" Felix slammed his hand against the table and shot to his feet, roaring, "I don't care what you want to say. Now get the hell out!"
"What I want to say is that we will give you an opportunity—an opportunity to truly prove yourself with your own abilities, enter the family's inner circle on merit, and become a genuine member of our family." Silas Tagge ignored Felix's fury entirely and spoke calmly.
"I have nothing to prove!" Felix shouted.
"You truly have nothing to prove, because Adelaide doesn't need you to prove anything, nor will she give you any
