As the battle on Kubindi planet was about to erupt, the spaceport on Lothal Planet was bustling with activity.

This spaceport had originally been a civilian facility. To meet the supply needs of the Kingdom of Dawn fleet, Lothal Planet's locally elected governor, Kael-Marr, had requisitioned it, then carried out extensive renovations and expansions to turn it into a massive spaceport.

It was also the largest spaceport on Lothal Planet, serving as a vital transit and distribution hub for the Kingdom of Dawn in the Eastern Territory. After its completion, Governor Kael-Marr named it Dawn Port to curry favor with the Kingdom of Dawn.

Although Kubindi planet had begun to take shape as an industrial world, many things still had to be shipped in from the Kingdom of Dawn's homeland. This included precision-manufactured equipment, all kinds of advanced engineering and combat robots, and especially the Phase missiles supplied by the Vasari.

The problem was that many hyperspace routes throughout the Eastern Territory had yet to be thoroughly verified and developed, leaving navigation conditions poor. By comparison, the Stargate route running directly from Dawn Star Planet to Lothal Planet was completely unobstructed. As a result, Lothal Planet's import capacity now vastly exceeded its export capacity.

Even though Lothal Planet's Stargate was temporarily crippled and could only accommodate small convoys, cargo transport had not stopped for a moment.

Thus, Dawn Port was now piled high with all kinds of supplies awaiting shipment.
