The shuttlecraft that came hurtling in was incredibly agile. It barely slowed down at all, yet it deftly evaded every incoming shot!
Many of the officers and soldiers aboard the Imperial Intelligence Bureau warships were veterans who had fought in the Clone Wars before retiring. Facing such a shuttlecraft, they could not help recalling the heroic sight of Jedi Knights piloting starfighters.
Yet now, they could only watch helplessly as this shuttlecraft broke through their defensive line as though no one was there.
The space station had already raised its shields, but the shuttlecraft abruptly decelerated the instant it approached at high speed. Within a few seconds, it reduced its speed below the threshold that would trigger a shield response and passed directly inside the shields!
That kind of rapid deceleration alone was not something an ordinary person could endure. In that instant, the pilot would withstand thousands of Gs of force. Even with compensatory cushioning systems inside the shuttlecraft, the maneuver would still be enough to flatten the pilot into paste!
Even in the Jedi Order of old, only the very greatest Jedi Masters could possibly pull off such a maneuver.
So who, exactly, was piloting this shuttlecraft?
The Lambda-class shuttlecraft opened fire the moment it entered the shield perimeter, directly destroying the shield generators near the hatch. Then, in the narrowest of windows, it fired two Concussion Missiles in succession, blasting a huge hole in the hatch. Immediately afterward, the ship flew through the hole with incredible precision.
This entire series of maneuvers was completed flawlessly in less than three seconds!
