Purifier—Grievous

Elena continued, "Your will is unprecedentedly strong, enough to rank among the very best even within our personality database. Therefore, we did not use the standard Purifier conversion procedure on you. Instead, we reinforced your remaining organs. Your heart and lungs were transformed into new drives, and auxiliary psionic chips were implanted into your brain. In other words, you can now make limited use of psionic power."

As Elena spoke, a small platform rose beside them, bearing a tiny metal block.

"Psionic power? The Force?" Grievous raised a hand and made a gentle grasping motion. The metal block was seized by an invisible force and flew into his hand.

"Psionic power and the Force indeed have different names, different methods of use, and not entirely identical origins," Elena explained. "However, they share many similarities. We have learned how to use the Force through methods that drive psionic power. Therefore, to us, it is equivalent to psionic power."

"And you have actually mastered technology that allows an ordinary person to possess the Force?" Grievous was somewhat astonished.

During the Clone Wars, as the supreme military commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, he had been unstoppable in the early stages of the war. But as the Jedi Order began joining the conflict, he repeatedly tasted defeat at the hands of Jedi Knights.

To Grievous, the Force was a lifetime of pain.

His command ability had clearly surpassed those Jedi, and his tactical arrangements had been flawless. Yet at critical moments, the Force would predict, interfere with, or even reverse the battle. That incomprehensible, untouchable power was like an invisible wall, firmly barring him from victory.

And now, such power belonged to him?
