"Quick! Take the warehouse! Blow open the doors! No... the doors aren't enough! Blow up the walls too!!" Kalder-Lee roared in the distinctive raspy voice of a Trandoshan. Several B-1 battle droids carried blaster cutters toward the warehouse's outer wall, sparks spraying wildly across the heavy alloy plates.
At the same time, three modified trucks charged over and, with a deafening crash, smashed through the half-cut outer wall.
Before the smoke and dust had even settled, tons of armor plating collapsed amid the shriek of tearing metal. B-1 droids filed inside, and a choking cloud of dust rushed out from the warehouse. What lay before them were row upon row of sealed blaster rifles of every model, ammunition crates stacked as densely as a forest. All they needed was to be filled with blaster gas, and they could be used immediately.
What excited them even more was the hangar in the center of the warehouse, where one hundred TX-130 Saber hover tanks and another one hundred TT-209 tanks were parked.
While the TX-130 was weaponry phased out after the Clone Wars, the TT-209 tank was an even older model, manufactured by the Galactic Republic military around a hundred years ago for maintaining public order. It was tracked, equipped with one laser cannon and three blaster machine guns, with a rear compartment that could carry ten prisoners—or, naturally, fully armed soldiers or battle droids.
These steel behemoths, dormant for a century, gleamed coldly amid the dust, as though the rusted gears of time itself had meshed once more—the wreckage of the old order had become the sharpest spear of a new age of chaos.
Kalder-Lee bared his teeth in a grin and shouted, "Quick! Spread all the droids out! Let them attack freely! We're leaving!"
He and his men quickly turned
