Battle of Christophsis (I)

Several hundred LR-57 droids emerged, the twin blaster cannons mounted on both arms firing wildly. Blaster bolts poured down like rain, and the Christophsian army instantly collapsed under the sudden assault.

Some of the LR-57s had their arm-mounted blaster cannons replaced with rocket launchers. After a fierce barrage of rockets, the Christophsians' few lightly armored tanks, used mainly for maintaining public order, were completely destroyed.

Christophsis might have been wealthy, and they had indeed built a sizable army, but these poorly trained and poorly equipped troops were utterly useless against droids!

Clone Troopers could fight droids at casualty ratios of at least one to fifty, but they were Clone Troopers—Super soldiers with combat instincts ingrained into every cell of their bodies. As for ordinary people, simply facing a droid army was already no easy feat.

Think about it: the enemy was a group of droids without sensation or emotion, with metal bodies and immense strength. Even if your shots blasted holes through them, they would keep moving. They carried guns of larger caliber and greater numbers than yours, advancing in dense formations while firing. Who would dare resist? They would probably not even dare raise their heads for a look.

Once a droid locked onto you, its accuracy was extremely high. The LR-57 battle droids in particular had highly precise fire-control systems inside their tin-can-like bodies, along with three sets of stereoscopic sensors. They could instantly lock onto a target's position and even calculate a certain amount of lead.

Some Christophsian soldiers on the battlefield had not hidden well enough, exposing a small patch of forehead, only for an LR-57 to blow off the top of their skulls with a single shot!

Against such enemies, even with a numerical advantage, the Christophsian army immediately fell apart.
