Evacuation

With a deafening blast, the distant OG-9 Nest Spider battle mech was destroyed as well. A moment later, Anakin saw Shi Aimin running back in a rather bedraggled state. His combat suit was torn in several places and blackened by scorch marks, yet he still wore that goofy smile.

He ran through the monastery gates, leaned heavily against the wall, and took several deep breaths before scratching the back of his head and saying somewhat sheepishly, "Man, there were just too many of those robots. Even I nearly got taken out. But don't worry. I checked—the areas near the gate no longer have any of those big machines."

Anakin gave him a long look, then nodded without saying anything.

Shi Aimin continued, "Earlier, we found a hangar platform on the other side of the monastery. There's a G-9 cargo ship inside. You can go bring it out. I can't fly a ship, so leave this place to me!"

"You..." Anakin frowned. "Can I trust you?"

"Hey, don't worry! There's nothing I can't handle. Go on." Shi Aimin waved him off.

Anakin nodded heavily and finally chose to trust him. In a very quiet voice, he said, "Thank you."

"Huh? What did you say?" Shi Aimin had not caught it.

Anakin was already carving a path through the robots with his Lightsaber, running off in the direction Shi Aimin had indicated.

In the sky, Cun Te and his team's strange ship had already driven off the robot army's Vulture droid fighters. More than forty fighters still lingered nearby, but there was no time to worry about that now.

He brought the ship down, and the Galactic Republic's Clone Troopers immediately understood what they needed to do. They climbed onto the monastery buildings and fired wildly at the Vulture fighters trying to
