The Javelin-class missile frigate was a highly classic spacecraft of the Emergency Traders Alliance in Sins of a Solar Empire. Eighty-five meters long, it was fitted with two five-tube launchers for large long-range anti-ship missiles, carrying sixty missiles in reserve, as well as powerful Fire Control Radar to target and guide its missile attacks.

The Javelin-class missile frigates were currently equipped with the Fourth Civilization's second-generation antimatter anti-ship missile, the Cross Gun Type I. It was 7.3 meters long and carried a shield generator and an antimatter reactor.

Unlike the large missiles used by the Martha-class missile heavy cruisers, which relied on radiation clouds to inflict damage, the Cross Gun Type I anti-ship missiles aboard the Javelin-class missile frigates pursued greater speed, heavier precision damage, and more accurate impact points. Once they struck a target, or once their navigation AI determined that the target had entered their effective kill radius and the missile itself had sustained severe damage, their warheads would connect with the antimatter reserves inside the reactor and unleash a devastating explosion.

Even in Sins of a Solar Empire, TEC warships generally lacked strong firepower. The Javelin-class missile frigate was therefore one of TEC's trump cards against enemy capital ships.
