The occupation of Hoth Planet and destruction of the Republic 19th Army were only the beginning for the Fourth Civilization.

Unlike Bespin Planet, a remote world at the end of a hyperspace route, Hoth Planet was an extremely important node on the Corellian Trade Route and a transportation hub.

After Hoth Planet was occupied, the resistance never stopped. In response, the Fourth Civilization stationed one million droids and fifty thousand army troops on Hoth Planet, carrying out what could only be called a bloody suppression of the planet's resistance.

To strengthen the crackdown, Tang Xiao directly ordered ten thousand special troops transferred from the prison planet Thonner to take part in the operation.

The prison planet Thonner had been ceded to the Fourth Civilization by the Ayrou after the war between them ended. It originally held around one million serious offenders, most of them people who had once resisted Ayrou rule. They were not only political prisoners, but also vicious criminals.

Moreover, as the Fourth Civilization expanded, Thonner Planet's prisons were repeatedly enlarged. Resistance members from Ayrou territory, as well as those from planets successively occupied by the Fourth Civilization, were all captured and imprisoned there. By now, Thonner Planet held more than three million prisoners.

Thonner Planet's natural environment was decent. Although it had few mineral resources, it could still develop agriculture centered on fishing. Most of those prisoners were brought there for agricultural labor, producing considerable amounts of food that were shipped throughout the Fourth Civilization.

More importantly, however, was the vast new barracks district built beside Thonner Planet's prison zone. Every physically strong, vicious prisoner willing to trade other people's lives for a reduced sentence was conscripted into the barracks for brutal training, becoming a member of the Fourth Civilization Army.
