Jedi Knights did not kill unless necessary, especially not unarmed people.

Yet the dozen or so bodies lying before Shen-Jon were mostly civilian personnel, and none of them had weapons.

Shen-Jon had killed them without hesitation.

He had not betrayed the Galactic Republic, nor had he betrayed the Jedi Order. But he had embraced darkness and fallen to the Dark Side Force. To the Jedi Order, that was betrayal.

The Lightsaber in his hand trembled. The pure Kyber Crystal resisted the Dark Side Force. Shen-Jon clenched the hilt fiercely, pouring even stronger Dark Side Force into the Lightsaber. The Kyber Crystal seemed to let out a faint wail...

A Clone Trooper walked over and said, "General, we have cleared out this experimental base. They should have destroyed all the experimental data, leaving nothing behind. We have planted bombs throughout the base. Once they detonate, nothing will remain of the Extractor Project."

Shen-Jon nodded, then asked, "Any news of Sefrans-Tann?"

"No, General. The experimental work here should have been overseen by a Separatist general named Cheng Shitao, but we found no trace of him. We only know that he came from Dawn Star Planet," the Clone Trooper replied.

Shen-Jon nodded. "All right. We leave here and continue hunting Sefrans-Tann."

"Yes!"

Shen-Jon walked out of the collapsed control center. He looked back once more at the corpses strewn across the ground and said coldly, "At least we have completed one of our missions."

Several speeder bikes approached head-on and came to a stop before Shen-Jon. His apprentice, Nat-Reese, jumped down, followed by Hunter Squad—Hunter, Clearance King, Crosshair, and Tech.

"Master, we caught those technicians who fled. We couldn't get anything out of them, so we killed them all," Nat-Reese said flatly.

After all this pursuit and fighting,
