More than a hundred warships had gathered here, standing by at all times.
"Any news from the border outposts?" On the flagship, Jedi Master Eeth Koth hurried over to the communications officer and asked anxiously.
"Not yet. The Separatists are fighting on every front right now. It's not that the hyperspace outposts have no reports—it's that there are too many. We're sorting through every report as quickly as possible and will have results soon," the head of the Communications Department replied.
"No... no... It's been three days, yet we've completely lost the Plague." Eeth Koth grew increasingly agitated. "That warship is far too dangerous. We absolutely cannot let it escape!"
"Maybe it was torn apart while making random hyperspace jumps?" an officer suggested.
"No... the Plague is still out there. I have a faint feeling of it. But... we're always one step behind." Eeth Koth's expression was grave.
At that moment, the communications officer looked up. "General, analysis of the latest batch of reports is complete. We detected anomalous hyperspace disturbances at Uba Outpost, Dabun Outpost, Tasto Outpost, and Zolan Outpost. They may have come from the Plague, with a probability between 7% and 19%."
"Contact the nearest local Defense Fleets immediately and have them investigate!" Eeth Koth said. "Any more reports?"
The communications officer shook his head. "There are always more. The Separatist fleet has been moving very frequently, and many pirates and smugglers are mixed in as well. Even if the hyperspace disturbances caused by the Plague are significant, sorting them out still takes time."
