Archangel of Death vs. Windu (Part 2)
Darth Malthael's judgment had been correct. Master Windu was indeed on the verge of exhaustion.
Though he had repelled the Archangel of Death's attacks time and again, each time he had been stopped by Kresh's Gauntlet—he could not see the Shatterpoint of this Ancient Sith artifact.
It was not because the artifact had no flaws, but because his Shatterpoint gift was not yet powerful enough to see through Kresh's Gauntlet.
His repeated attacks had yielded nothing, leaving him with no choice but to defend continuously.
He had encountered such situations countless times in battle before, but in all those previous battles, even while defending, he could use Shatterpoint to steadily unravel his opponent's Force and swiftly force them into defeat.
But Darth Malthael was entirely different!
His opponent could actually draw power directly from the corpses around them! Though Windu had access to the Jedi Order's forbidden archives and knew much about the Sith's strange abilities, facing them in person still left him feeling powerless.
Moreover, he practiced Seventh Form lightsaber combat: Juyo.
This form was essentially an indulgence of a Jedi Knight's fighting spirit and state of mind, generating greater power between light and darkness. Yet because it came too close to the dark side, wielding it was like walking on a knife's edge.
The resentful spirits summoned by Darth Malthael had affected him far more severely than he had imagined!
The battle continued. Master Windu could no longer use Shatterpoint; his Force had run dry. Now, every attack from Darth Malthael struck him like a sledgehammer.
Mace Windu was a true warrior. Even so, he did not retreat a single step!
